Ruth Benson is a UK trained Vascular Surgeon with expertise in minimally invasive procedures for treating vascular diseases. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Edinburgh, followed by a PhD at St George’s University, London, and an advanced vascular and endovascular fellowship in vascular surgery, where she honed her skills in state-of-the-art treatments for vascular conditions.
Ruth is known for her patient-centred approach, ensuring that her patients understand their treatment options and are involved in their care decisions. She has published numerous articles in medical journals, presenting her research and advancements in vascular surgery techniques at major international vascular meetings.
Ruth is a respected leader in her field, dedicated to improving patient outcomes and advancing the field of vascular surgery. Throughout, Ruth has been an enthusiastic teacher and trainer in vascular surgery in the UK and New Zealand.Working alongside Peter Laws both in public and private surgical practice, Ruth uses the same techniques and a comprehensive approach to good patient care.
